Confident Children Out of Conflict – South Sudan (CCC) provides residential care, security, and education for children up to 18 years old in Juba, South Sudan. Many of the children have been orphaned or separated from their families. All have survived difficult circumstances, including: abusive homes, forced marriages, armed conflicts, or abandonment. Since it started, CCC has provided a stable, loving home and educational opportunities for hundreds of vulnerable children.

CCC has been given a long-term lease on a 100m x 150m concrete-walled site in the Northern Bari district of Juba on which to build a new compound. A working group within the Rotary Club of Juba and CCC has been set up to manage the project. Progress has been made on some of the buildings, but there is much more to do. Immediate needs include funding for daily operating expenses (food, school fees, staff salaries, and vehicle maintenance) and continued development of the new site.
See the concept plan below:
Priority 1: water system, brickyard, dormitories, latrines, showers, laundry, kitchen, guard house
Priority 2: clinic, offices, horticulture, agriculture, livestock, pest control
Priority 3: housing, bakery, butcher, assembly area, multi-purpose business and training hall

With great challenges come great opportunities. CCC's new complex will offer a chance to start fresh with a new facility that will be a welcoming community of young people and those who are supporting them. We envision long-term opportunities to provide teaching and training for our young people to ensure their successful futures.
