Mothering Across ContinentsSM (MAC) is a US 501c3 non-profit that develops innovative, replicable, scalable, and sustainable education projects serving children and young people in some of the world's most challenged communities. We're grateful for volunteers, partnerships, and financial support that improve education, alleviate hunger, and reduce poverty in countries where we have projects. We also partner with other nonprofit organizations and serve as their US fiscal agents. Please select the project that you'd like your gift to be designated.
The Raising South Sudan project serves 800 students grades 1-8 at the Nyarweng and Gumriak primary schools. Both schools consistently rank in the Top Five based on national exam scores in Ruweng, South Sudan. Graduates who qualify are eligible for scholarships to attend boarding high school.
Pivot Academy Rwanda is an intensive STEM and ICT education, training, and mentoring program for primary and secondary school teachers in rural Rwanda.
Fruitful Orphanage – Tanzania provides residential and daycare services, meals, and education for 190 children, many of whom come from backgrounds of poverty, abandonment, and neglect.
Generation Rise – Rwanda The Her Voice Matters (HVM) program of Generation Rise uses literature as a catalyst for critical thinking and leadership skills for girls and young women in rural Rwanda. The companion Ignite Program empowers HVM graduates with entrepreneurial skills to initiate and manage businesses.
HerPeace – Rwanda is a project to reduce violence and increase peace through health, education, and dignity for young women in rural Rwanda.
Sunlight Primary School – South Sudan serves nearly 800 children from kindergarten through primary eight. One-third of the students are girls.
